Canyon de Arbayun (Arbaiungo Arroila, Navarra, Basque Country)
Northern Spain
It is a deep canyon dug by the Salazar River in the limestone rock of the Sierra de Leyre, which is about 6 km long and has vertical walls almost 400 m deep. It houses the largest colony of griffon vultures in Navarra, in addition to other types of raptors such as the golden eagle, the Egyptian vulture and the bearded vulture.
