The Church of Luz is located opposite the Military School in Largo da Luz in Carnide, Lisbon, Portugal,Europe. Designed by Jerónimo de Ruão in 1575 and ordered to build by the Infanta Dona Maria, was a vast temple of Mannerist Italian influence and was completed in 1596 to replace an old chapel, having suffered severe damage in the earthquake of 1755, resisting the chapel, the arch of the cruise and part of the walls of the church body.
