Clear Creek Canyon is located off of the Escalante Arm of Lake Powell. One of the 90+ side canyons of the lake, it contains the Cathedral in the Desert, currently covered by the waters of the lake. Slots and alcoves still remain for the weekend adventurer to explore above the level of the lake, but according to those who knew the area before Lake Powell, few compare in beauty to the Cathedral.
