DRINSKA REGATA BAJINA BAŠTA 2011.
Održava se od 21. do 23. Jula po 18. put.
Regata je najposećeniji dogadjaj u Zapadnoj Srbiji i centralna letnja manifestacija na vodi. Očekuje se da ovaj hepening na reci Drini, tokom tri dana, različitim sadržajima privuče preko 100.000 posetilaca iz zemlje i inostranstva.
Program je i ove godine veoma bogat.
Regata počinje 21. jula Igrama bez granica na jezeru Perućac, Takmičenjem u preplivavanju jezera i Takmičenjem u pripremanju riblje čorbe pored reke Vrelo .
Na igrama učestvuju studenti Fakulteta za fizičko vaspitanje, sportski klubovi ali i sve druge ekipe koje se prijave. Igre će pratiti i zabavno muzički program. U večernjim satima na trgu u Bajinoj Bašti, koncert narodne muzike. Program regate nastavlja se sutradan, 22. jula od 16 časova takmičarskim spustom niz Drinu u kome učestvuju brojna sportska društva iz cele Srbije I Skokovima sa mosta. Drugi dan manifestacije završava se zabavnim programom i koncertom u okviru MOST FEST-a na ućšu reke Rače u Drinu.
Treći dan regate, 23. jul rezervisan je za onaj glavni događaj, odnosno zabavno-rekreativni spust koji počinje u 11 časova i u kojem učestvuju stotine plovila i posada, uz trubače, plutajući šank, muzički splav, roštilj i ostale specijalitete domaće kuhinje na reci i obavezno kupanje. U večernjim satima MOST FEST. U sva tri dana trajanja programa Regate biće organizovan sajam zdravlja i rekreacije na trgu u Bajinoj Bašti.
Drinska regata je već godinama omiljena letnja domaća destinacija brojnih javnih ličnosti, koje će i ove godine splavariti Drinom na "VIP splavu". Pored "VIP splava" na regati plovi i još nekoliko drvenih splavova, izrađenih po originalnom uzoru na stare drinske splavare, koji su plovili na deblima posečenim u šumovitoj Tari. Više čamaca sa trubačima tradicionalno prati nekoliko kilometara dugačku povorku Regate i daje joj ritam.

Europe is generally agreed to be the birthplace of western culture, including such legendary innovations as the democratic nation-state, football and tomato sauce.
The word Europe comes from the Greek goddess Europa, who was kidnapped by Zeus and plunked down on the island of Crete. Europa gradually changed from referring to mainland Greece until it extended finally to include Norway and Russia.
Don't be confused that Europe is called a continent without looking like an island, the way the other continents do. It's okay. The Ural mountains have steadily been there to divide Europe from Asia for the last 250 million years. Russia technically inhabits "Eurasia".
Europe is presently uniting into one political and economic zone with a common currency called the Euro. The European Union originated in 1993 and is now composed of 27 member states. Its headquarters is in Brussels, Belgium.
Do not confuse the EU with the Council of Europe, which has 47 member states and dates to 1949. These two bodies share the same flag, national anthem, and mission of integrating Europe. The headquarters of the Council are located in Strasbourg, France, and it is most famous for its European Court of Human Rights.
In spite of these two bodies, there is still no single Constitution or set of laws applying to all the countries of Europe. Debate rages over the role of the EU in regards to national sovereignty. As of January 2009, the Lisbon Treaty is the closest thing to a European Constitution, yet it has not been approved by all the EU states.
