The old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is yet to be awaken at this time of the day - the 5th Avenida normally teeming with tourists and locals is now totally deserted. The Arch with Volcán de Agua(3760m) in the background is like an icon of the town. At the other end of the Avenida is La Merced Church which houses the largest fountain in Antigua.
