La fortezza di Livorno, denominata poi Fortezza Vecchia per distinguerla dalla Fortezza Nuova eretta nel 1590, è un'imponente complesso fortificato in mattoni listati a pietra realizzato su disegno di Antonio da Sangallo il Vecchio a partire dal 1519. Attualmente è visitabile. Dalla torre si ha una bella vista del porto di Livorno e della città, ma il luogo più suggestivo della fortezza sono i grandi ambienti sotterranei.
