Gangshan Bamboo Festival
Taiwan

With two hundred to three hundred years of history, the Gangshan Bamboo Festival held in Gangshan District every year nowadays was evolved from the traditional fair activities in the early days. In recent years, the scale of the festival has grown as it became increasingly famous after it started to combine with a series of cultural activities and local lamb specialty. The festival is held two to three times each year at the center and both sides of Hehua Road and Julun Road in the length of about 2 kilometers for various kinds of booths to exhibit or sell diverse commodity products, mainly in bamboo baskets, knifes, metal products, grocery and hardware. Moreover, the festival has become a special scenic spot locally and attracts about 100,000 people to visit every year.
