Golden Beach, Karpass, Cyprus
Karpass Peninsula

The 'must-see' beach on the south side of North Cyprus' Karpas Peninsula is Karpas Golden Beach, miles of golden sand backed with romantic sand dunes, and home to breeding sea turtles. If you want to explore the beaches of the Karpas, head out early from your North Cyprus holiday villa, so you don't have to drive in the heat of the sun.

Its farthest extent is Cape Apostolos Andreas, and its major population centre is the town of Rizokarpaso (Turkish: Dipkarpaz). Since the Turkish invasion and occupation of 1974 the peninsula resides within the de facto Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.Karpass Peninsula is home to wild donkeys which are known as the symbol of Cyprus.
