Gorse and Blackthorn near Cerne Abbas in Dorset.
England

The prickly bushes with the bright yellow flowers are gorse. There's an old country saying that when gorse is out of bloom, kissing is out of fashion! Luckily different species flower throughout the year.

The trees with the bright white blossom are blackthorn. Its autumn fruit are sloes - the basic ingredient of Sloe Gin.
