Goudhurst Village, the view from the tower of St Mary's Church
England
Founded in 1170 by Robert de Crevecour, the church has been altered and restored many times over the centuries with the current tower dating from 1638. The height of the tower together with the elevated position of the church lead to it being used as a survey point. There are 78 steps to the top and a wonderful view as the reward for climbing them.
