Das Capo Testa ist der nördlichste Punkt Sardiniens. Neben dem sehenswerten Leuchtturm gibt es dort viele beeindruckende Granitfelsen, die vom Wind und der in mediterranen Breiten typischen Tafoniverwitterung zum Teil bizarr geformt wurden. Viele dieser Felsformationen haben wegen erkennbarer Ähnlichkeit Tiernamen bekommen.
