Das Capo Testa ist der nördlichste Punkt Sardiniens. Neben dem sehenswerten Leuchtturm gibt es dort viele beeindruckende Granitfelsen, die vom Wind und der in mediterranen Breiten typischen Tafoniverwitterung zum Teil bizarr geformt wurden. Viele dieser Felsformationen haben wegen erkennbarer Ähnlichkeit Tiernamen bekommen.

The island is surrounded (clockwise from north) by the French island of Corsica, the Italian Peninsula, Tunisia and the Balearic Islands. Sardinia is a constitutional part of Italy, with a special statute of regional autonomy under the Italian Constitution.
