Adjacent to the handgun range, the park also offers a 100 yard rifle range, a rim-fire range, an area for archery and a non-toxic shotgun clay target shooting area. The park is managed by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game which charges a fee to use the facilities (an adult day pass is $9.00). The park primarily serves local hunters and local recreational shooters as it is located just a few minutes drive from Downtown Anchorage.
Mr. Thomas is using a net to catch the casings ejected from his gun presumably, so that they can be re-loaded.
