Konjicko drustvo “Knez Mihailo” je dobrovoljno organizacija koja se bavi odgojem rasnih konja, unapredjenjem narodnog konjarstva I organizacijom sportskih takmicenja kao svojom osnovnom delatnoscu. Svoju delatnost Drustvo obavlja preko sekcije, koje su angazovane na unapredjenju konjarstva u stiskom i moravskom kraju , kao I na edukaciji clanstva. Glavna delatnost Drustva je organizacija konjickih takmicenja. U tom cilju Drustvo organizuje 5 trkackih dana u toku godine I to: pocetkom maja, 7. Jul, dva trkacka dana u okviru Ljubicevskih konjickih igara prvog vikenda u septembru I sredinom oktobra u cast oslobodjenja grada. Pored galopskih I kasackih trka I utakmica u preskakanju prepona (na LjKI), Drustvo se bavi I organizacijom utakmica u daljinskom jahanju endurance. U ovoj, kod nas, novoj disciplini konjickog sporta clanovi konjickog drustva ostvarili su izuzetne rezultate. Drustvo se bavi I odgojem rasnih konja.Pozarevacki hipodrom je najstariji sportski objekat u Pozarevcu i okolini. Njegova izgradnja zapoceta je 1892. godine, iste godine kada je osnovan odbor Dunavskog kola jahaca za pozarevacki okrug, a prve trke na njemu odrzane su vec naredne 1893. godine. Pozarevacki hipodrom danas spade u red najuredjenijih sportskih objekata ove vrste u Srbiji. Nalazi se na udaljenosti od oko 3 km od centra grada. Prostire se na povrsini od oko 50 ha Ima sve uslove za organizovanje svih vrsta konjickih takmicenja. Sportski deo cine dve trkacke staze I to: galopska, travnata, staza duga 1550 m, kasacka staza, sa sljakastom podlogom duga 1400 m I skakaliste za preponske utakmice. Obe trkacke staze I skakaliste su “A” kategorije. Sportski deo hipodroma krasi I velelepna betonska tribina koja prima oko 6000 gledalaca.

This is an overview of Europe

Europe is generally agreed to be the birthplace of western culture, including such legendary innovations as the democratic nation-state, football and tomato sauce.

The word Europe comes from the Greek goddess Europa, who was kidnapped by Zeus and plunked down on the island of Crete. Europa gradually changed from referring to mainland Greece until it extended finally to include Norway and Russia.

Don't be confused that Europe is called a continent without looking like an island, the way the other continents do. It's okay. The Ural mountains have steadily been there to divide Europe from Asia for the last 250 million years. Russia technically inhabits "Eurasia".

Europe is presently uniting into one political and economic zone with a common currency called the Euro. The European Union originated in 1993 and is now composed of 27 member states. Its headquarters is in Brussels, Belgium.

Do not confuse the EU with the Council of Europe, which has 47 member states and dates to 1949. These two bodies share the same flag, national anthem, and mission of integrating Europe. The headquarters of the Council are located in Strasbourg, France, and it is most famous for its European Court of Human Rights.

In spite of these two bodies, there is still no single Constitution or set of laws applying to all the countries of Europe. Debate rages over the role of the EU in regards to national sovereignty. As of January 2009, the Lisbon Treaty is the closest thing to a European Constitution, yet it has not been approved by all the EU states.
