Historic Alexandur Lapusneanu Street / Strada Alexandru Lăpușneanu in Iasi
Romania
Historic Alexandur Lapusneanu Street / Strada Alexandru Lăpușneanu in Iasi is a pedestrian only street. Once this street was a royal lane with the palace of King Ferdinand during WWI. Prior to that, it was the home of AI.I. Cuza in 1859-1862. Now called the 'Union Musuem'. Further down the street on one end is the historic 'Grand Traian Hotel. Going in the opposite direction is one of the first movie theaters in town. All along are shops, bookstores, coffee and food shops, and even an antique store. At the opposite end of the 'Grand Traian Hotel' on this street is offices for Ia. Cuze University.
