Huntington lake, inside Huntington State Park, offers a cool oasis for the outdoor enthusiast exploring the nearby San Rafael Swell. In June a group of Great Blue Herons nest in the cottonwood trees adjacent to the lake. People come to fish, boat, ski, swim and hunt for crawfish. Hikers come in from the desert for a patch of green grass under their tents.
