The biggest automotive exhibition in Indonesia, The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), which is an annual event for the country’s auto industry, is the window that depicts the development of Indonesia’s automotive industry. Year after year, IIMS has captured the attention of major players in the industry, local and international players, as reflected by the enhancements recorded by the exhibition each year. Every year, the participants of IIMS, as the biggest auto show in South East Asia, keeps on increasing. In IIMS 2009, there were only 21 brands participating for the exhibition while this year, the number grows to 38 participants consisted of 29 passenger car brands, and 9 commercial vehicle brands. Besides the increasing support from sole agents (APM), the automotive supporting industries also show similar positive support toward IIMS. This year, there were 276 automotive supporting industries participated in the exhibition, which is a significant increase compared to IIMS 2009 that only reached 129 supporting industries.
