Гостиничный комплекс «Измайлово» был построен для обслуживания XXII Олимпийских игр, проходивших в Москве в 1980 году.
В составе гостиничного комплекса: пять многоэтажных жилых корпусов общей вместимостью — 10000 мест; фабрика-заготовочная для ресторанов; киноконцертный зал на 1000 мест центральная инженерно-техническая зона при жилых корпусах расположены вместительные подземные гаражи-стоянки. Все корпуса соединяются 2-х этажным коммуникационным и транспортным туннелем. Жилые корпуса оснащены скоростными лифтами финского и отечественного производства. Две группы по 6 скоростных лифтов в каждом корпусе обеспечивают удобную связь жилых этажей с вестибюльной группой. Мебелировка жилых номеров и ресторанов была выполнена по эскизам авторов-архитекторов мебельными фирмами Литвы и Финляндии.
