Khonggoryn Gol at Khongoryn Els, Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park
Mongolia

The Khongoryn Els are famous "singing dunes" in Mongolia’s Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. They rise to over 80 m high, shifting constantly in the wind, and stretch over 100 km at the foot of the Altai Mountains.

This small river, the Khongoryn Gol, is fed by subterranean springs and creates a lovely lush oasis in the middle of the desert.
