Cloister Schöntal old abbey 2011

Cloister Schöntal” in the idyllic “Jagsttal” is a former Cistercian abbey dating from the 12th Century. The monastery impressed by the monumental appearance and the variety of buildings from the Middle Ages to the Baroque. The panorama shows the north side of the church, the old abbey, the “Pistorei” (bakery), the “Familiarenbau” (housing for lay members), the “Schweizerei” (cattle and dairy farming) and the inner gatehouse.
