Lake Lonsdale
Victoria

Lake Lonsdale is a shallow lake near Stawell connected to the Grampians Wimmera Mallee irrigation system.


In wet years the lake is a great location for fishing and water sports. When full, the lake has a capacity of 65,480 megalitres but after prolongued drought and use of the water for irrigation, most people know the lake only as a large dry grass plain.
