Organized in 1996, the Marietta Museum of History showcases and preserves the history of Marietta and Cobb County. It is located on the second floor of the historic Kennesaw House, and features collections from the military and Civil War as well as home life and local history.

Capital and largest city in Georgia, Atlanta is known the world over for its parks, professional sports teams, shopping, museums, and entertainment. One of the fastest growing cities in the United States, Atlanta has been commended by the Environmental Protection Agency for its determination to implement ecologically friendly policies.
