This historical Memorial House Mihai Codreanu / Casa Memorială „Mihai Codreanu” was built in 1934 on land donated by the city in recognition of the poet Mihai Codreanu's work. The house now hosts the Romanian Literature Museum and is kept the same as when the poet lived there. It is listed as a historic monument since 2004 code is IS-IV-mB-04360. Many of the intellectuals of the day met at an inn across the street which today is a popular restaurant.
