Out of this World

The limiting magnitude of stars and star clusters is 13.5, and the limiting magnitude of galaxies is 15.5. The distance to the nucleus of the NGC 3982 galaxy is 27,000 light years. The conspicuous galaxy not far to the right of the red supergiant is NGC 3972, the small galaxy at the edge of the corona on the right of the red supergiant is NGC 3794, and the tiny galaxy not far from the lower right of NGC 3794 is NGC 3846, which is located at NGC The conspicuous galaxy at the bottom right of 3972 is NGC 3953, the conspicuous galaxy above NGC 3953 is NGC 4157, the tiny galaxy at the bottom right edge of NGC 3982 is NGC 3398, and the tiny elliptical galaxy not far above the red supergiant is NGC 4125 (galaxy position only represents approximate azimuth) There is a long strip of galaxy cluster between NGC 3953 and NGC 4157, which is the Virgo galaxy cluster. The galaxy cluster below the Virgo cluster is the Ursa Major galaxy cluster.

More About Out of this World

The planet Earth has proven to be too limiting for our awesome community of panorama photographers. We're getting an increasing number of submissions that depict locations either not on Earth (like Mars, the Moon, and Outer Space in general) or do not realistically represent a geographic location on Earth (either because they have too many special effects or are computer generated) and hence don't strictly qualify for our Panoramic World project. But many of these panoramas are extremely beautiful or popular of both. So, in order to accommodate our esteemed photographers and the huge audience that they attract to 360Cities with their panoramas, we've created a new section (we call it an "area") called "Out of this World" for panoramas like these.Don't let the fact that these panoramas are being placed at the Earth's South Pole fool you - we had to put them somewhere in order not to interfere with our Panoramic World.Welcome aboard on a journey "Out of this World".

It looks like you’re creating an order.
