palace garden Wilhelmsthal nearby Calden in Nordhessen 1

Wilhelmsthal castle was built in the mid-18th Century as a pleasure and hunting lodge of the Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel in the style of the Rococo.

Because of the remaining historical space and sumptuous interiors, the castle is one of the most important rococo castles in Germany.
Contrary to usual orders landscape is the castle at the lowest point of the park.
The garden was planned as a three-axis system and is itself in a larger landscape composition embedded in the west and east by one Lindenplatz Rondell limited.
