Paramo del Tablazo
PARAMO EL TABLAZO: Located in the Municipality of Subachoque, west of Bogotá is located on the Paramo Tablazo, beautiful stone wall surrounded by mountain forests and plants typical frailejones Paramuna. An exceptional place from which we can see the valley of the Magdalena River, Colombia and the central mountain range can be seen in the towns and the cities of San Francisco Subachoque. The Hill is located between the towns of San Francisco and Subachoque and its maximum altitude is 3,500 meters You can see fraylejones fields, grasslands, ponds and village roads. It is a natural barrier that stops moisture from warm land which remains most of the time with a dense fog that gives a magical and mysterious character to the place. The high Andean forest of the mountains allows the observation of orchids, quiches, mosses and numerous species of birds.

More About South America

South America makes up the southern half of the Americas and a large part of Latin America. It's home to the world's longest mountain range, biggest waterfall and largest river -- even these mammoths pale in comparison to the stunning variety of life forms thriving in the rainforest. To the northwest, off the coast of Ecuador, lie the Galapagos Islands, which are unique for hosting species not found anywhere else on earth. Following liberation from Portugal and Spain, South America took off into its own development, capitalizing on the rich deposits of oil, gold, copper, silver and tango musicians. Brazil is the largest country in South America and home to one of the world's best parties, Carnaval. Have you heard of samba music? How about bossa nova? Maybe dancing for three days straight? I can't say enough good things about South America.
