Penrhyn Castle - Ice tower
Wales

Picture was taken just above the ice pit and if you look up you can see the lid of the pit. It is all located in the Ice Tower in Penrhyn castle. The tower itself rises 74 foot and it was called Ice tower because of a 23 foot deep pit at the base of the tower which was packed with ice taken from lakes in the mountains over the winter for preserving food.
