This is the famous Plateau Mountain, finally! Near Bishop's Hat, the Plateau is a large slab of granite situated 1945 meters above sea level, belonging to the Mantiqueira range. It can be seen the Paraíba Valley and several towns. It is one of the dozens of things you can not miss in Monte Verde -MG. Here begins the trail that leads to the imposing Sealed Peak, which stands in the distance. But the hike requires some fitness and is recommended to follow a local guide.
