Poo Island Poo Island may be reached on foot from San Martin beach or climbing down the cliffs in front of Almenada beach on very low tides. That done, you may enjoy the calm of it's poorly visited beach.
Llanes'e cliffy coastline is full of small beaches that appear and disappear as the tides come up and down. Little islands or boulders -called 'castros' by the locals- may also be found.
This is a green and lush landscape, more reminiscent of Britain or Ireland that the Spanish Mediterranean coastline.
