Puchberg am Schneeberg is a town in the south-eastern part of Lower Austria in the industrial district in Austria, where about 2650 people live. It is about 80 Kilometres from Vienna away. The highest point of Puchberg is the Schneeberg with 2076 Metres, which is concurrent the highest mountain of Lower Austria.

About the early history are a few information known. The name Puchberg am Schneeberg is since 1260 as Eberhard von Puchperch documented. [1] Already in the 18th and the 19 th century visited a plenty of human beings Puchberg. With the opening of the Schneebergbahn, there was a change from the farming toward the tourism. The spa is one of the most famous places in Lower Austria.
