Railway station of Burriana to the step of a train.
The station was inaugurated the 26 of December of 1862 with the opening of the section Nules-Castellón de la Plana of the line that tried to unite Valencia with Tarragona. The works were carried out by the Society of the Railways of Almansa to Valencia and Tarragona or AVT that previously and under other names had managed to unite Valencia with Almansa. In 1889, the death of José Campo Pérez, the company's main driver, led to a merger with North. In 1941, after the nationalization of the railway in Spain, the station was managed by the newly created RENFE. Since 31 December 2004, Renfe Operadora operates the line while Adif is the owner of the railway facilities. Between 2015 and 2016 the station was reformed with the elevation of the platforms, the extension of the platforms of lanes 1 and 3 and the construction of an adapted lower passage with elevators.
