To the east of the main park at Peterhof (outskirts of Saint-Petersburg, Russia) lies an expanse of landscaped parkland in the English style, named after Alexandra Fedorovna, wife of Nicholas I.
In present time it's a splendid plaсe to take a rest in a shade of ancient oak trees.
In 2010-2011 the park was partially rebuild and wholly landscaped. Some bridges was reconstructed in last few years and several main buildings had been restored to 2011 season (Gothic Chapel, Cottage Palace, Farmers Palace).

Moscow has been the capital of Russia for almost its entire history. The exception is during the period of the Russian Empire, which lasted from 1721 until the Russian Revolution 1917.
