Памятное место "Богатый источник" на Богатяновском спуске у набережной связано с основанием города Ростова. По преданию, так назвал его Петр 1.  У входа - изваяние льва, как бы охраняющего родник и в то же время милостиво разрешающего напиться. Для питья была проведена отводка отдельной струйки.
