Новая Ладога. Церковь Климента Римского и Петра Александрийского.

Церковь Климента и Петра построена в 1741 - 1743 гг. Это была скромная одноглавая церковь. Ее облик существенно изменился после того, как в 1873 - 1878 гг. к ней была пристроена колокольня со шпилем по проекту архитектора К.В.Фортунатова.

Церковь была закрыта в 1938 г., использовалась как кинотеатр. Прежняя внутренняя отделка стен с многочисленными фресками была закрыта новой облицовкой - и благодаря этому более или менее сохранилась. Теперь церковь пустует и разрушается.
