Saalfeld Hohenwarte Dam


The High Dam and the waiting Hohenwarte Dam (also known as "Thuringian Sea") is a reservoir that was created in the 1930s by damming the river Saale by a namesake near the Thuringian town located Hohenwarte dam. The curved concrete gravity dam was built from 1936 to 1942. Its height is 75 meters, its length 412 m. During the construction of the dam had to be resettled 250 people. The village was flooded Preßwitz it.

Germany? Before the beginning there was Ginnungagap, an empty space of nothingness, filled with pure creative power.
