Here the view from San Antonio Pass is one of the best on this beautiful trek. From left to right are Jirishanca(6126 m), Yerupajá(6635 m), Siula(6356 m), Sarapo(6143 m) and Jarau(6050m) respectively. The turquoise lake on the far left should be where the base camp for the ascent to Siulá is - where Joe Simpson undertook the fateful event as depicted in the film "Touching the Void". On the opposite side of the valley the landscape is dominated by Cuyoc(5550m) and the pass of the same name is just beyond it in the distance. The trek on this part is probably one of the most strenuous - Pass Cuyoc is 5000m a.s.l followed by a descent of nearly 1000m before climbing up to this view point at close to 5000m against a very slippery slope.
