Tourism is the most important activity Sokobanjčane. The very next year under the old spa Ozren and Rtanj celebrate 175 years of health and tourism 120 years since the birth of nobelovcaIve Andric, who often svraćao here. And it will be an opportunity to remind ourselves that come here for treatment and the Roman legions, and Milos Obrenovic, its first restorer, and many famous Serbs 19th and 20 century. And Stevan Sremac (that he died), and Branislav Nušić, whose saying "Soko Banja, Soko city, you get old, leave young," remembers today. A memorable and extraordinary hvalospevni writings of Isidora Sekulic Sokobanja blagotvornoj water and air.

For President Dimitri Sokobanja municipality Lukic everything that happened this year is very important for tourism, because it seems more than a third of GDP. Sokobanja got amusement water park, sports hall, a kindergarten, several tens of kilometers of local roads. Builds and wellness center with mineral water in three swimming pools. Thus, he says Lukic, but next year to expand the tourist offer. Besides health, thrive and youth, sport and congress tourism. In this year's tourist season, there were 16 percent more guests than last year. That's the race in a dead Sokobanja with the Spa. Radon gas in a beneficial therapeutic waters Sokobanja refreshes and heals tired and sick lungs. This is most attracted to. The patina of tradition, and praises of celebrities who are here found the drug and artistic inspiration.

Lukic said that in Sokobanja this year from state coffers poured 250 million. For a small municipality that has less than 17,000 inhabitants and its run this year's budget of 270 million dinars to the considerable assistance.

Sokobanja President said that thanks to the local tourism customizable Sokobanja pernicious influence and resist the trappings of tradition. Tourism here has been a sanctuary for those who are after 2000. The jobless in the local branches of large surrounding economic systems. Then the deserted halls and Nis "Nitex" Zajecar "crystal", shut down the plant and the Bor copper complexes ("August 14") for the manufacture of ornaments and handicrafts items. Collapsed and agricultural complexes "Slemen" and "Trebic", composed of conglomerates from Nis and Belgrade.

Director Sokobanja Organization for Tourism, Culture and Sport Bratislav Majkić reminded recently that the mayor in 1999. years, at the time of the bombing, was one of the most visited in the past two decades. Many have estimated then that this place is safer than others. Grateful for a safe haven in big trouble, they continued to come to Sokobanja. Refuge here during times of war the 1942nd was found and Ivo Andric, and later wrote that at the time in Sokobanja began to write his novel "The Bridge on the Drina". Spa in 1914. i 1915. was visited and Isidora Sekulic.

Sokobanja president of development resources in one of the great agricultural potential of healthy food and medicinal plants (collected and processed by the company "Adonis"), and the potential of high-quality brown coal. Director of Mines "Soko" Ilija Knezevic, speaking of the most successful underground coal mine in Serbia, said that employs 600 miners from Sokobanja, Knjazevac Aleksinac. Sokobanja coal basin (with underground mining) is unrivaled in Serbia. Here we have ten years to invest in opening new large tanks worth about 30 million euros. When complete, the next three to five years, the current production of 150,000 tons will be doubled in next 50 years. But work in this basin will be in the next century because the established reserves of 50 million tons of coal, and investigated only ten of the basin. In front of the "Hawk" for years the longest lines of those who seek work here because the mine operates more effectively and safer than others in Serbia.

The road will be 20 km shorter than the existing, zakrčenijeg through congested Aleksinac addition Bovan lake. Requires a small investment for only a mile and a half of the new route, a road will be built vapor NIP as an interregional project is important for Sokobanja, Ražanj, Belgrade and Knjaževac.

By the end of this year should be completed and the formation of a regional tourism organization to unify the tourist offer of 15 municipalities Zajecar, Bor and Pirot. Sokobanja sees in it an exceptional opportunity to develop its tourism and more guests.

This is an overview of Europe

Europe is generally agreed to be the birthplace of western culture, including such legendary innovations as the democratic nation-state, football and tomato sauce.

The word Europe comes from the Greek goddess Europa, who was kidnapped by Zeus and plunked down on the island of Crete. Europa gradually changed from referring to mainland Greece until it extended finally to include Norway and Russia.

Don't be confused that Europe is called a continent without looking like an island, the way the other continents do. It's okay. The Ural mountains have steadily been there to divide Europe from Asia for the last 250 million years. Russia technically inhabits "Eurasia".

Europe is presently uniting into one political and economic zone with a common currency called the Euro. The European Union originated in 1993 and is now composed of 27 member states. Its headquarters is in Brussels, Belgium.

Do not confuse the EU with the Council of Europe, which has 47 member states and dates to 1949. These two bodies share the same flag, national anthem, and mission of integrating Europe. The headquarters of the Council are located in Strasbourg, France, and it is most famous for its European Court of Human Rights.

In spite of these two bodies, there is still no single Constitution or set of laws applying to all the countries of Europe. Debate rages over the role of the EU in regards to national sovereignty. As of January 2009, the Lisbon Treaty is the closest thing to a European Constitution, yet it has not been approved by all the EU states.
