Das Ozeaneum in der Hansestadt Stralsund ist ein zur Stiftung Deutsches Meeresmuseum gehörendes Naturkundemuseum mit dem Schwerpunkt Meer.

Parallel zu den Ausstellungen in dem in der Halle der Katharinenkirche untergebrachten Meeresmuseum werden im Ozeaneum auf der Stralsunder Hafeninsel auf 8700 m² Ausstellungsfläche in 39 Aquarien mit einer Wassermenge von sechs Millionen Litern circa 7000 lebende Tiere und Unterwasserpflanzen in einer den Ozeanen nachempfundenen Umwelt gezeigt.

It was granted town privileges in 1234. Since 2002 the centre of the city is listed as a world heritage site by the UNESCO.
