Taipei Confucius Temple was built in 1879.

This magnificent temple in honor of Confucius and other Confucian sages is of southern Chinese motif.

A solemn ceremony with eight-row dance is held every year on Sept. 28 to commemorate Confucius' birthday, expressing the ultimate respect for his great teachings.
