At the summit of Schneeberg, with 1052 m a.m.s.l. the highest mountain in Fichtelgebirge in northern Bavaria there is a small wodden lookout-tower where this pano is taken. Nearby you can see the remainings of a former military installation. On top of the mountain at the horizon there is the slim needle of the Ochsenkopf-TV-Station
