We are in a coastal watchtower called Gerro Tower's in Denia, in the beginning of a storm over the Montgo mountain.

This tower was part of the network created in the Middle Ages in the Mediterranean to prevent attacks by Barbary corsairs who had his base in North Africa and conducted attacks on coastal villages.

The short distance between the towers and castles and its strategic position, that covered completely the coast, allowed a visual communication between them. Today there are many of them.

The Tower of Gerro, which over time had been destroyed partially, is now restored, but without real access because there is no internal staircase. By being defensive, the gates are near 3 meters in height on a solid body, and has two additional floors of 3 meters in height each, without any content.
