There is no "typical" roadhouse or lodge in Alaska. Each one is different, sometimes, very different. The Pinnacle Mountain Lodge, cafe, RV park, laundromat, general store, animal rescue farm, art gallery and farm implement museum/storage facility at Milepost 70 of the Glenn Highway is just such a place. Along the long driveway and throughout the property you will find tractors and farm implements in various stages of restoration or disrepair. Behind this interesting facade is a collection of sheds, pens and metal shipping containers that house all manner of livestock and fowl, usually rescued by the proprietors from some desperate situation. There is a small hill on the property with a sprinkling of boots over it.

They do serve a decent breakfast.
