Before the tunnel was built in 1965, the road through the Twingi Gorge was the only connection from the Binn Valley to the outside world. In winter it was dangerous and often impassable, buried by rockfall and avalanches. Today it offers a beautiful walk in a magnificent landscape.

This waterfall apparently carries so much minerals that it deposits rock in its bed instead of eroding it.
