Vasīlijs Borjajevs Karostā dzīvo kopš 1952.gada un padomju laikā slēgtajā militārajā zonā bija vienīgais oficiālais fotogrāfs. Viņa salonā tapušo darbu ekspozīciju veido jauna, krāsainu fotoportretu kolekcija, kas dokumentē cilvēkus šodienas Karostā.
Lielākajai daļai fotogrāfiju ir tradicionālais salona fons – pludmale ar zemu horizontu. Tajās redzamie cilvēki - lielākoties vietējie Karostas iedzīvotāji.
Seit Jums ir iespēja nofotografēties kā to darīja 20. gs. sākumā - Vasilijs fotografē ar vairāk nekā 100 gadus vecu fotoaparātu.
