Val Thorens est une station de sports d'hiver située à 2 300 mètres d'altitude, soit la station la plus haute d'Europe. Elle est intégrée au domaine skiable des Trois Vallées, le plus grand domaine skiable du monde relié skis aux pieds avec 600 km de pistes. Val Thorens se situe sur la commune de Saint-Martin-de-Belleville en Savoie, dans l'arrondissement d'Albertville. Accessible depuis Moûtiers, elle se situe au-dessus de Saint-Martin et de la seconde station alpine de la commune, Les Menuires.
