Visakhapatnam hosted the World's Longest Flag, measuring more than 3000m on the auspices of the 64th Independence Day. The event was held in all pomp at Ramakrishna Beach, Visakhapatnam, starting from VUDA Park till the Kali Temple. Visakhapatnam, also known as Vizag, is the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh, after the state capital Hyderabad.
