Елабуга (тат. Алабуга, Alabua)? City (with 1780) to Russia, an administrative centre of area Elabuzhskogo of Tatarstan. The beried in verdure city with a panorama of churches, with ancient stone private residences is the sample of merchant architecture of XIX century, kept the unique shape and a landscape. It is located among woods on high by the right to coast of Kama at a confluence of it of the river Tojma, in 200 km to the east from city of Kazan. The area of 18,4 km ². The population 70,0 thousand чел. (2008), in 1995 was 65,8 thousand inhabitants.
