Main square of Zwettl
Lower Austria

Zwettl-Lower Austria (usually only in the short therm Zwettl) is a town in north-western part of Lower Austria.

Zwettl has a total area of 256 square kilometers in area, making it the third largest municipality - after Vienna and Wolfsberg in Carinthia - and seventh largest municipality in Austria.

1994 was in the main square built a fountain designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
