Holy Trinity Church, St Austell, the Nave
England

Holy Trinity Church in St Austell is built on the site of much earlier churches.  The current building dates back to about 1390 at the East end and about 100 years later at the West end. The tower is particularly fine (one of the best in Cornwall) and has some wonderful sculptures and reliefs, including statues of Christ and the Apostles.

The font is Norman and features angels faces at the corners and dragons and the tree of life. The pulpit (by GE Street and dating to the 19th century) is of alabaster and is decorated with biblical scenes. The reredos and panels by the font (also by Street) are in alabaster, marble and tile.
