Ibex Hardpan located approximately 50 miles south west of Delta Utah in Millard county. There is a well located at the south end of the hardpan that is used by the sheep hearders to water the sheep. The hardpan is dry during the summer months but accumulates water during the winter.
This shot is taken from a hill located to the east of the hardpan. The inital view is looking towards Notch peak to the north.
Ibex hardpan was also used as a movie set for the first film of a trilogy based on a series of Edgar Rice Burroughs tales occurring on the planet Mars.
