Mt. Sengenrei is one of the peaks on the Sengen ridge which is started from Mt. Mitousan. The genuine peak of Sengenrei is located at 200 m west away from this, but a large Sign of "Sengenrei" is built on this point, so many people may believe this is just the peak. Anyway, we can enjoy wonderful panorama from here; Mt. Fuji in the south, Mt. Ohdakesan (1266 m) and Mt. Gozenyama (1405 m) in the north.  It was a cold day, but many people enjoyed hiking on the ridge.  Just before I took the photo, a party had a break on this point.

Questa è una vista generale di Tama

Tama area is the name of the western part of Tokyo Metropolis.  It consists of 26 cities, 3 towns and a village.  A lot of people (about 4 milion) live in a eastern half part of the area.  However, there are many mountains in the western part of Tama area, and there are very little flat land.  Many hiking spots are in the western area, so you can enjoy walking on the trail, camping, and so on.  If you see the beautiful mountain scene, you may not believe this is also in Tokyo.
